Hurricane roll shutters are among the easiest and strongest type of hurricane shutter and are ideal for single family homes, condominiums, store fronts, pharmacies, Tiki and outdoor bars.

The shutters are continuously contained in a small box above your opening and are rolled down along heavy-duty tracks which line the left and right side of your opening. All of our roll-down shutters are made of high strength extremely durable 6063-T6 aluminum that is impact rated to withstands winds up to 180MPH.

We offer two types or sizes of roll shutters:

55mm double wall vented slats

63mm single wall slats

The main difference between the two is the size of the slats on the shutter and the “single” or “double” wall style. ​Vented slots punched into the 55mm double wall slat allow light to pass through the roll shutter when deployed, if desired. Additionally, you may opt to include specially designed view port slats (55mm only) for additional light and visibility.

There are several ways the operate roll shutters (lower/raise). 

They can be motorized:

 We offer two motor options the first is standard remote controlled or remote controlled with override.  The "Override" feature allows the shutter to rolled up/down with a hand crank tool in the event of a power outage. Our shutters can be powered with either 110v or 220v circuits or even by solar power with our optional solar power kit! Lowered or raised in moments with a push of a button or even from miles away with your smart phone! Both motor options are equipped to integrate with your Alexa or Google Home devices.

​They can be Spring Assited:

Spring assisted shutters roll up/down manually by hand and typically feature a keyed lock for additional security. When spring assisted, our roll-down shutters can be lowered and raised by hand in mere seconds.

​They can be Gear Driven:

Gear driven roll shutters are raised and lowered using a hand crank tool like that used for the "override" motor.
