The limited seven-year warranty includes mechanical parts and electronic components, including the frame. The warranty excludes damage that resulted from the sun. YES. But, it is generally a two-person job. Screen America can provide access to installation videos and written instructions. A handyman (or anyone with good DIY aptitude and a friend) should be able to successfully complete the installation process. Screen America also maintains a large network of authorized dealers who are expertly trained to install your custom handmade screen or shutter system.
Our screens are custom built to fit just about any opening. They can range in width from 3.5’ to 25’ and be as much as 20’ high. The exact size will be determined during a free consultation with your local authorized garage screen dealers. Screen System frame/tracks, bottom crossbar and housing are all available in Black, White, Beige, and Bronze.
Our hurricane are custom built to fit just about any opening. The StormSecure hurricane roll-shutters can range in width from 18” to 20’ and be as much as 15’ high. Our StormSecure accordion shutter systems use Bertha HV1 and HV2 blades that have an unlimited width and can be as much as 18’ high. Both shutter options (tracks, slats/blades and housing) are all available in White, Ivory, Beige, and Bronze.

NO or Hopefully not. When paired with our specially designed vinyl track system(recommeded on all garages and vehicle entryways) the mesh and bottom crossbar should popout from the tracks with damaging the screen system. A service call from your local authorized dealer to reset the bottom bar and mesh in the track should be all you’ll need.
Yes, they can. Although they are very durable, accidents do occasionally happen. The mesh can be replaced and most of the parts can be repaired or replaced. A local facory trained dealer can work with you to ensure the screen is up and running again.

Screen America’s StormSecure accordion and roll shutters are high volocity hurrican zone(HVHZ) impact rated to 180MPH. Decorative Bahama and Colonial shutters provide substantial strom protection but they a non-HVHZ shutters. However, you can be special ordered them for hurricane impact protection.
No. Retractable screens are not considered a permanent or fixed door, window or enclosure and therefore no permitting is required.
We offer a variety of solar-rated screen mesh that can block 80%, 90%, and even up to 95% of the UV rays in our motorized rollup screens. You can choose from a variety of mesh colors for your motorized rollup screens. These solar-rated meshes are ideal for shading applications as well. Yes. Most municipalities in Florida will want you to pull permits for roll shutters and accordion shutters. Screen America can not apply for permits on your behalf. As a homeowner in Florida you are able to apply for and obtain permits for hurricane shutters on homes that you own.
